Language is going really well. We have tweaked our schedule and schools since last month and now feel like we have found the best combination for us. At one point I was attending 3 schools at the same time, and after evaluating each one we have narrowed them to the one that we both learn the at best. We have increased our hours there and are able to study at 1 location.
We are happy with our school and are making good progress.
Though we are working full-time on language, there are opportunities for ministry that arise. The Lord has provided some neat opportunities to be able to share the Gospel and spend some time with some young men.
Our heart overflows with joy when we are able to communicate truth to people here and every day we are glad to be able to do it a little better. Thank you for praying for us.
Also, in our last prayer letter I asked if you would pray for someone that would be willing to practice Thai with me every day. He has, and now after language school is over, my friend “Sam” comes over for a few hours and we just talk in Thai. I have offered to pay him for his time, but he won't even take anything, so that is a big blessing and answer to prayer.
We are learning some of the hassels of Visa troubles!
We were not supposed to have any problems with our visa, but there was a mistake back in March and we received a different Visa than we requested, and it has caused a lot of problems. It's a long story, but we had to leave the country to resolve the issue.
So, last week, we went to language school, and then headed to the airport for a 2 hour stay in Malaysia. It was a nice vacation. Then we were back in Language school the next morning without even missing any class time. We were able to get 90 more days to try and resolve the issue so we don’t have to cross the border again.
