Three Months In
We praise the Lord for all that he is doing in the new church plant here in Bangkok! We are about 3 months in, and the Lord is blessing! We have new visitors coming each week, several that are being very faithful to everything that we have, people growing and learning how to lead, and people involved in discipleship.
Be praying for us and our next step. Several are asking about even more opportunities to learn and grow, so we are wanting to add more services and classes here very soon, so pray for us as we try to find good times and work everything out.
Visiting Pastor and friends
My pastor, Austin Gardner, along with 5 more friends of ours came to visit us for about 10 days and we had a great time with them talking over every aspect of the ministry and our next steps. I praise the Lord for friends and a pastor willing to come over and lend their expertise!
This was also the end of our first intern’s time here, and the beginning of our 2nd. Nathan Howard was a blessing while he was here and now we ask you to be praying for Ben Thomas, who is from our home church, as he is here for 6 months in language school and learning ministry.
One tool we are able to utilize to meet new people is teaching English. We recently started a 6-week term at the church and had over 300 people register! This provides a great opportunity to get to know people, and invite them to church. Just this week, we finished up our English lesson a little early and was able to field questions about the church and Christianity for the last 20min of class and share the Gospel with everyone. Our classes are split up, so be praying for each teacher as they get to know people and get opportunities like this.
- The visa process is out of our hands and still not complete and coming down to the wire!
- Pray for us as we start more classes and services!
- We thank the Lord for providing funds for intern and staff housing!
- Praise the Lord for how he is working in people and their enthusiasm to learn more!
Yours for the Gospel in Thailand,
